At Bean There, we endeavour to give you an experience which is quite a bit like coffee itself. It's a perk up, in a relaxing sort of way. Its warm, its friendly and what you see is what you get.

WHAT

A heritage, 100 year old English Bungalow, nestling amidst a hundred acres of lush coffee estates. It once belonged to Colonel Crawford, one of the first pioneers of coffee to the region. The perfect getaway for a couple of days from the humdrum of city life. A place where you can quite simply put 'do nothing'.

WHAT TO DO

Great trails in a coffee and pepper plantation. Or if its just winding down with a glass of wine by a breathtaking lake about a 10 mins drive away. A 30 mins drive from the 800 year, world renowned Belur & Halebid temples situated close by. A visit to Sravanabelagola, the world's largest monolith. Or do nothing by reading a book from the extensive collection. Other activities include a coracle ride, trek the countryside or fishing amongst others.

A 3.5 hours drive, 186 kms from Bangalore on the Bangalore - Mangalore Highway, towards Hassan. Another 30 mins drive (26 kms) from Hassan and you are there! Pickups can be arranged from Bangalore or Hassan at an extra charge.
